Switch from ChamberMaster

Bring your members, representatives and events across in one import, check every row before it is saved, and turn things on when you are ready. Nothing reaches a member until you say so.

The switch, step by step

Six steps, in this order. The first four move your data; the last two turn on the parts your members will notice.

  1. 1

    Export from ChamberMaster

Download your members, representatives and events as CSV files. We do this with you on a call the first time.

  2. 2

    Map the columns

Upload the files. The importer suggests a ChamberGenie field for each ChamberMaster column; you confirm or change each one.

  3. 3

    Read the dry run

Every row is checked before anything is saved. Problems are listed by row, with what to fix, so you can correct the file or accept the rest.

  4. 4

    Commit

Your members, representatives and events are in. Nothing reaches a member yet.

  5. 5

    Connect Stripe and QuickBooks

Connect your chamber's Stripe account so dues settle to you, and QuickBooks Online so the books stay in step.

  6. 6

Turn on renewals and the public site

Set your dues schedules, review the reminder emails, and point people to your new directory and calendar, or embed them on your current website.

Questions directors ask

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

What does the importer bring across?

Members, representatives and events from ChamberMaster CSV exports. If you need invoice or payment history, tell us on the call and we will plan it with you.

Do our members need to create accounts?

No. Members pay dues from a link in the email, read their quarterly report in their inbox and see events on your public site. Representatives who want the member portal can be invited to it.

Where does dues money go?

Into your chamber's own Stripe account through Stripe Connect. ChamberGenie does not hold your funds.

Can we keep our current website?

Yes. Embed the directory and calendar on it with one tag each, or use your yourchamber.chambergenie.app site.

Can we run both systems for a while?

Yes. Importing does not touch ChamberMaster, and nothing is sent to members until you turn renewals and emails on.

What about Mailchimp or Constant Contact?

Connectors for both are on the way. Until then ChamberGenie sends its own renewal, report and digest emails.

Plan your switch on a call

Bring a recent ChamberMaster export if you have one. We will map it together and show you the dry run before you decide anything.
